Dr. Prema Mahale is an Associate Professor and Dean of Operations at Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai. She specializes in Operations Management, Operations Research, Materials Management, and Project Management, boasting 18 years of experience in both academia and industry. Her professional background includes serving as a procurement officer at Vidyut Metallics Pvt. Ltd.
Dr. Mahale's research interests focus on analytics in operations and supply chain management, operations research models, and project management.
She holds an MBA in Materials Management and is an electrical engineer. She completed her PhD at North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, with a dissertation titled ""Evaluation of Operations Research Techniques Used for Optimum Utilization of Resources in Hospitals.""
She has contributed to high-quality research papers published in national and international journals and case studies in notable publications such as Scopus and ABDC. In 2024, she authored the book ""Principles of Operations Management."" Additionally, Dr. Mahale has led Faculty Development Programs on analytics in operations and supply chain management at ATAL and other institutions. She is a life member of the Operations Research Society of India (ORSI). Dr. Mahale is also actively engaged in student-driven events, such as experiential learning and industry visits"
