It all began in 1962. Vivekanand Education Society (VES) – a premier education institution came into being. Conceptualized and instituted by a great humanitarian and visionary Late Shri. Hashu Advani, VES was one of the first educational institutions in Mumbai that made education accessible to students from all strata of society.

The year 1994 was a milestone year in the history of VES. A new-age business school-Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research (VESIM) was instituted on 31st march 1994. Currently the student intake is 240 students in MMS. This allows the institute to help more deserving students, who are aiming for glorious corporate careers. Yes, MMS is equivalent to MBA and it is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Government of Maharashtra

There are caste base schemes of Maharashtra government eg. free ship and scholarship for SC/ST candidates , free ship/scholarship for OBC/VJ/NT/DT candidates. There is a Economical Backward Class Concession (EBC) scheme for candidates having income 800000/- or below.

We follow the Admission Procedure guidelines laid down by ARA/CET Cell/ DTE. Basic requirements for MMS admissions are: The candidate possesses minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidate of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State Only) in any Bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized University. Candidate should have appeared for MAH-MBA/MMS CET and other competitive exams prescribed / notified by CET Cell/ARA/DTE for that particular academic year.

Entrance exam score and Scrutiny Centre Verification is necessary for admission to MMS Programme. The CAP vacant/cancellation seats of the institute are also filled on the merit of the entrance exam scores. VESIM is a Linguistic Minority Institute (Mother Tongue - Sindhi, Applicant should be domiciled in Maharashtra). Out of 240 seats, 51% seats are reserved for the Sindhi linguistic minority students of Maharashtra State.

We are the first Institute in Mumbai who have surrendered the Management quota, therefore there are ZERO seats under the Management Quota/Institute level Seats

The dates for issue and submission of forms will be prescribed and notified on the Notice Board and on website. During these dates students can visit the VESIM campus on any working day from Monday to Saturday between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm to Online Apply against the CAP - Vacant/Cancellation seats.
