The following shall be the Members of Anti-Ragging Committee of Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management Studies and Research for the academic year 2026 - 27.
The Anti-Ragging Committee and Student Cell of VESIM conducted a classroom-based awareness campaign to sensitise students about the emotional, academic, and legal consequences of ragging. The initiative reinforced VESIM’s zero-tolerance policy and encouraged students to build relationships based on respect, empathy, and mentorship. It also reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
The Anti-Ragging Committee of VESIM conducted an awareness initiative to promote a safe, respectful, inclusive, and ragging-free campus, while sensitising students, faculty, and staff about available support. Led by Mrs. Jinal Savla, VESIM’s In-House Counsellor with nearly 10 years of experience in counselling and mental health, the initiative highlighted confidential support for stress, emotional well-being, mental health, gender sensitisation, and related concerns. The initiative reaffirmed VESIM’s commitment to a supportive campus culture built on safety, mutual respect, equality, and student well-being.
As part of the Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaign, posters were displayed across the VESIM campus to spread awareness among students. The posters and banners highlighted the harmful consequences of ragging and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful campus.
They also reinforced VESIM’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. Students were encouraged to treat one another with dignity, empathy, and respect. The initiative aimed to keep anti-ragging messages visible and accessible to the entire student community. Through this effort, VESIM reaffirmed its commitment to a safe, inclusive, and ragging-free campus environment.
To promote awareness and sensitize VESIM’s faculty, staff, and students about the importance of preventing ragging, the Anti-Ragging Committee organized a series of visual awareness initiatives across the campus. Standees and posters carrying anti-ragging messages were displayed at key locations such as the Auditorium, selfie points, Library, Canteen, and Hostel, ensuring maximum visibility and impact. Faculty, students, and staff took their selfies pledging “No to Ragging.”
In line with UGC guidelines, a selfie stand with an anti-ragging theme was also set up, where students, faculty, and staff enthusiastically participated by taking selfies, symbolizing their collective commitment to a ragging-free campus.
These initiatives reinforced VESIM’s dedication to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all.
VESIM’s Anti-Ragging Committee organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Skit at VESIMSR’s Ground Floor Auditorium under the guidance of Ms. Bhavika Goplani, Dr. Kavita Kanabar and Dr. Neha Verma. The event aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a culture of respect and empathy among students.
The session featured a two-part presentation — an impactful short film highlighting the emotional, academic, and legal consequences of ragging, followed by a live skit titled “Respect Builds Futures,” performed by MMS students. The performances sensitized students to the psychological and social effects of ragging while encouraging positive alternatives such as mentorship and friendship.
The program concluded with all participants taking a pledge of “No to Ragging,” reaffirming VESIMSR’s commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.
