Dr. Vijay T. Raisinghani serves as the Director of VESIM, with over 30 years of distinguished experience spanning academia, research, and industry. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Information Technology from IIT Bombay, and a B.E. in Machine Tool Engineering from the University of Mumbai. His academic journey includes leadership roles such as Associate Dean and Head of Department at NMIMS School of Engineering, where he mentored six PhD scholars and over twenty MTech students, and taught across PhD, MTech, and BTech programs. He also served as Professor of E-Business at the Welingkar Institute of Management.

Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Vijay spent 17 years in industry, including 13+ years with the TATA group—TATA Motors, TCS, and TATA Infotech—working in areas such as production systems, telecom testing automation, ERP implementation, and R&D in sensor and storage networks. He also held leadership roles at Patni Computers, VOLTAS, and Mastek.

As co-author of the mKrishi initiative at TCS, he was instrumental in its success, which was recognized with Qualcomm’s prestigious Wireless-Reach Global Grand Prize. He actively contributes to the scholarly community as a reviewer for leading journals (IEEE, Wiley, Elsevier) and a technical committee member for conferences including IEEE IBSSC and T4E. His academic interests lie in AI/ML for Business, Internet of Things, and Cybersecurity.
