Leader, when we hear this word, the first thing that comes to our mind is responsibility. From initiating any task to the completion of that task responsibility always have its own considerable weightage. Some people think Leadership is only about giving motivation to employees or just influencing others but deep down only some part of the society knows the real value of leadership. The first step of this vast concept is self-development. No one can say himself a good leader if he doesn’t have all the qualities that he wants to incorporate into others.
Talking about leadership in business, Leadership in business is the capacity of a company's management to set and achieve challenging goals, take fast and decisive action when needed, outperform the competition, and inspire others to perform at the highest level they can. When any company or organization communicates or formulates any new strategy then the leadership skill plays into the role. Explaining and giving the overall idea to the employers and then taking their opinions for creating that concept more efficiently and then motivate and influence everyone to achieve the desired target is the smart key for any leader.
If we take the example of one of the great businessmen of India, Ratan Tata, then we will be surprised to know that despite being the future chairman of the Tata group, he started his career with the blue-collared workers to analyze the working and the all the management techniques thoroughly. In the pandemic time also, where all other companies were facing the issue of recession, Ratan Tata sir, gave the assurance of jobs to all the employees added to that he announced to give salaries to all the deceased employee’s families until what would have been their retirement at the age of 60. These are the small things that always motivate employees to work fearlessly in the pandemic time also. So, making this trust and formulating these bonds will always be the biggest challenge for every fascinating leader.
So concluding the note we can say that it is possible for leaders to delegate too much and it is possible for leaders to delegate too little. Strong leaders know what to delegate and what to handle so that the organization is as productive as possible. Adequate leadership is also important for maintaining employee
satisfaction, as employees may take advantage of a manager that delegates too little and resent a manager that delegates too much.
