Dr. Swati Singh
Swati is NET qualified and holds a doctorate from University of Lucknow. She has worked in academics for over 15 years in the area of Marketing. Her selected specialties in teaching are Product & Brand Management, Services Marketing, Fashion Retailing & Luxury Management.
Swati's expertise is on societal interface and sustainable consumer & entrepreneurial approach in the global market. Her research focus is on sustainability and biodiversity in wine tourism, organic buying and wine approach-engagement in emerging economies. She has also done a joint research project on waste management in India with a German University with funding from German Research Agency.
Swati is currently Professor & Associate Dean-Marketing at VESIM. Her responsibilities pertains to managing marketing department , improving and enhancing MMS curriculum to make it more industry centric; inviting high-profile corporate dignitaries to college for giving deep industry insights; creating student Marketing Cell which provides platform to the students so that they can conduct various events to increase industry-student interface.
Swati also chairs “Leadership Immersion Program”, an international student exchange program in partnership with universities across the globe that aims to provide an exposure of international business scenario to our students. The program is designed to give students extensive exposure of macro-level dynamics of a foreign country and prepare culturally attuned global leaders and professionals.
Swati is also Festival Director of "VESIM Literati Fest", one of its kind literature festival conducted by a management institute. The fest aims to bring-forth thought provoking ideas of eminent speakers and authors from across country. Apart from book launches & panel discussions, the Lit Fest includes many fun-filled activities ranging from painting to pottery to book swap to Gala evenings.
She also heads a Literature Club in VESIM. The club comprising of student members, enable the students to improve their reading and oratory skills. It also helps in their grooming by providing a platform for various student-oriented activities like debates, extempore, storytelling sessions, panel discussions.
