Dr. Shalini Bariar


Dr. Shalini Bariar is a creative, innovative and insightful academician with a critical thinking and problem solving approach with enriched knowledge in developing business plans and strategies. Dr. Shalini Bariar is a PhD in marketing since year 2012, with overall 17 years of working experience in academics and advertising industry. Shalini has handled various positions in her academic career and has ability to perform various administrative activities.

Shalini is currently Associate Professor (Marketing) & Head- International Relations at VESIM B School. She has been Pioneer is bringing active collaborations with many international Universities and Institutes of Global repute. With the international Partners, she has worked on designing Dual degree courses in various area of specialization. She manages international study tours with certified study courses with highly reputed institutes at various countries to provide the students an international exposure of academics and culture.

Shalini has performed teaching activity at international university and received fund under faculty mobility under European Commission projects. She is actively working in applying and designing strategies for various ERASMUS+ projects by European Commission with its international partners which results in receiving scholarships under students and staff mobility program. She maintains good interpersonal relations with international partners to explore area of collaboration.

In the 10 years of her career in academics she has handled subjects like Brand management, integrated marketing communications, Marketing strategy, International marketing, Services marketing, consumer behavior, Marketing Management etc. She has also conducted a number of Management development programs in various areas of management. She likes to maintain good connect with the industry and learn current industry practices to equip her students with skills to deal with the current organizational settings.

Dr. Shalini Bariar in involved in research projects and holds consultancy projects in branding & marketing communications. Dr. Shalini Bariar, plays active roles in organizing research conferences, management events, building industry connect and building institute -international connects. Her working paper “Analysis of Mediation Effect of Country-Of-Origin Image on Brand Equity” is under publication at International Journal of Business and Data Analytics,
Inderscience Publishers Ltd. She presents her research papers in various international conference at national and international forum.

In the 7 years of her tenure in advertising industry as Marketing Head (Branding, business development and corporate relations), she has been successful in planning and executing advertising strategies in a customer-focused market. The work profile include brand launch, managing corporate branding programs, business development and managing corporate relations.
