NISM Certified Course in Securities Market

Indian securities market has witnessed a huge growth, since the establishment of the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India). SEBI has devised and implemented several strategies for the development of Indian securities market. These strategies have contributed to dynamic growth in terms of increase in a number of private firms, market capitalization, turnover in terms of futures markets, and trading volumes. Additionally, the Indian markets have tremendously gained from foreign inflows through the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs). Today, the Indian securities market is one of the fastest growing in the world. All these have created a huge demand for securities professionals who can sustain in the fast-growing industry.
 
Taking into account this need, National Institute of Securities Market (NISM), in collaboration with VES Institute of Management Studies is offering a 4-month NISM Certified Course in Securities Market (NCCSM). NISM is an institute promoted by SEBI.
 
The main objective of this program is to develop a large resource pool of securities market professionals, who can help related businesses such as broking firms, mutual fund investment companies, and others to achieve profitability, as well as customer responsiveness.

Eligibility

The candidate must be a graduate or pursuing graduation from any recognized Indian University.
 

Duration & Schedule

It is a four-month program with a combination of both - classroom lectures and simulation training. Classroom sessions are conducted twice a week (Saturday and Sunday).

 
Evaluation and Assessment Process

Students will be evaluated on the basis of the following:
  • Meeting basic attendance requirements decided by VESIM
  • Scoring at least 50% in internal/term examinations
  • Submitting high-quality project work
In case, the candidates fail to score required marks, they can take re-examination to clear their internals. The exam must be taken within 6 months from the date of the course completion. Students are only allowed to take two re-examinations.
