Dr. Kavita Kanabar


Dr. Kavita Kanabar, working as Associate Dean – Business Environment & Strategy (BES), is a resourceful professional with total experience of more than two decades with Corporate experience of over 10 years and more than 11 years of experience in Academics. Dr. Kanabar is also a certified Soft Skill Trainer. She is also certified as Mentor by AICTE-NITTT.

She is a B. Pharm Graduate with Post-Graduation in Marketing (from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management and Research Studies, Mumbai), and has completed her Ph. D from University of Mumbai. Her research areas are centred on International Business, Supply Chain Management and Marketing.

Prior to her role as educator, Dr. Kanabar was engaged with the Corporates precisely with Pharmaceutical Industry for more than 10 years. Her areas of Expertise were International Business Development, Global Tendering, Warehouse Management, Team Mentoring, Vendor Selection/Management, Cross-Functional and Cross-Cultural leadership, and Product Management.

Dr. Kanabar is the Head of Discipline cell and an active member of Women Development Cell and Anti-Ragging Cell in VESIMSR. She has successfully handled the portfolio of Strategic Procurement, Infrastructure and Facility and assisted Director in building the institute infrastructure.

She has taught subjects International Business, Sales Management & Sales Promotion, International Marketing, Text Mining and Sentiment Analytics and Export Procedures & Documentation.

Dr. Kanabar has strong work ethics with a 'can do' attitude and has always offered constructive feedback and recognizes as well as rewards success
