Dr. Swati Singh

Marketing

Swati is NET qualified and holds a doctorate from University of Lucknow. She has worked in academics for over 13 years in the area of Marketing. Her selected specialties in teaching are Product & Brand Management, Services Marketing, Fashion Retailing & Luxury Management.

Swati's research publications are on emerging economies, home-grown companies, wine industry, customer loyalty in retail and reverse innovation practices of firms in leading journals. Her current research is in the area of changing travel behavior of Indians related to International travel & perception of upper middle class towards Luxury brands in India.

Swati is currently Associate Professor & Area Chair-Marketing at VESIM. Her responsibilities pertains to -designing the course structure & syllabus for PGDM (Marketing) | Inviting high-profile corporate dignitaries to college for giving deep industry insights | Creating Student Marketing Cell to give them more opportunities to express their views on industry and curriculum. This forum is managed by students for the conduct of various events to increase industry-student interface.

Swati is also Festival Director of "VESIM Literati Fest", one of its kind literature festival conducted by a management institute. The fest aims to bring-forth thought provoking ideas of eminent speakers and authors from across country. Apart from book launches & panel discussions, the Lit Fest includes many fun-filled activities ranging from painting to pottery to book swap to Gala evenings.

She has also launched a Literature Club in VESIM. The club comprising of more than 50 members, will enable the students to improve their reading and oratory skills. It would also help in their grooming by providing a platform for various student oriented activities like debates, extempore, storytelling sessions, panel discussions...
