Sell-on Activity

Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies & Research in collaboration with Seva Sahayog Foundation (SSF) undertakes this activity with first-year students to support the distribution of school kits to underprivileged children. This initiative aimed to not only enhance their sales and communication skills but also instill a sense of responsibility toward societal upliftment.

Seva Sahayog Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to bridge the gap between resources and communities in need, aligning its mission with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and India’s NITI Aayog. The school kit initiative ensures that children from marginalized communities are equipped with the basic tools necessary for their academic journey.

Our students actively participate in selling school kits to raise funds for this noble cause. Through this activity, they learned valuable lessons in sales strategy, teamwork, and customer engagement while contributing to a larger societal mission. By engaging with potential buyers, the students had to articulate the importance of education and how their contributions could make a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

This experience sensitized students to the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities and the role they could play in fostering change.

Sell-on 2025 total fundraising was ₹652800 by the batch of 2024-26.

“The main aim of education should be to develop character, mental strength, and a spirit of philanthropy.”

GREEN CLUB A.Y. 2023-24

The Green Club at VESIM actively engaged the institute community through a series of meaningful sustainability initiatives. The activities were designed to raise awareness, promote eco-friendly habits, and impart a sense of environmental responsibility among students, faculty, and staff members.

It all started with the introductory session for new students, where the Green Club’s mission and vision were shared through an engaging video presentation. The session highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and motivated students to participate in upcoming environmental activities. During this session, the club also announced its flagship celebration – Green Day.

Green Day was celebrated across the campus with enthusiastic participation from all stakeholders. A thematic dress competition saw creative expressions centred around green values. Individuals demonstrating outstanding involvement were recognized as Green Champions and Green Warriors.

To reinforce sustainable behavior, the Green Club also initiated a policy to discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles on campus. Reusable alternatives were introduced, and a formal effort to adopt this practice across events and day-to-day operations was implemented. In line with global environmental campaigns, the club also observed World Water Day by launching a water conservation awareness drive. Posters and digital content were strategically placed to remind the community of the importance of preserving water.

GREEN CLUB A.Y. 2024-25

The year began with an eco-art initiative—Coconut Canvas, a unique painting competition where students creatively used coconut shells as their medium, promoting recyclable materials in art. This event blended sustainability with expression and sparked conversations about environmental responsibility.

To reduce single-use plastic, a Glass Bottle Distribution Drive was organized for teaching staff, encouraging the switch from plastic to reusable alternatives. In celebration of artistic activism, a Poster Display was hosted by the Green Club. Students creatively presented themes related to sustainability and environmental conservation, turning the campus into a visual hub of eco-awareness.

The year closed on a reflective and hopeful note with "Promise to Earth: New Year Resolution", an event where students and staff made personal pledges to adopt greener practices. Participants wrote their commitments on a resolution wall, reinforcing collective responsibility toward environmental stewardship.

As part of an inclusive outreach, a Sapling Distribution Initiative was conducted for housekeeping staff, where biodegradable coconut shell planters were gifted, appreciating their contribution while promoting eco-friendly planting.

These initiatives reflect the Green Club’s commitment to sustainability, creativity, and inclusivity—nurturing not just nature, but a responsible and united campus community.
