Prof. Barkha Jadwani


Prof Barkha Jadwani is a Commerce graduate, Cost Accountant (ACMA), Financial Risk Manager from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (USA), Masters in Financial Management (MFM) from Mumbai University and CAIIB. She is currently pursuing her PhD from Symbiosis International University, Pune. 

She has over 19 years’ experience in Banking and Education Industry. She is currently teaching as a finance faculty in VESIM. Prior to joining VESIM she was working with The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd (HSBC) as Vice President Credit Operations. 

Since July 2013, she is teaching as a finance faculty and has taught the following subjects - Banking and Insurance, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Financial Risk Management, Financial Markets and Institutions and Banking Operations Management. She has also taught Mutual Fund Distributors Certification, NISM Investment Adviser (Level 1) Certification and Equity Sales Certification in NCCSM and NVIAP weekend programs. 

During her stint in HSBC (April 1998 – July 2013) she had worked in various departments such as Finance, Corporate Banking and Operations. In her last assignment, she was Heading Bank Guarantees Operations Unit, strong and professional team responsible for providing the highest level of Operational Support to Global Trade and Receivable Finance business within the framework of the security and control aspects. From 2007 to 2010 she was working as Assistant Vice President – Global Banking handling Client Service for client base of over 50 Global Banking Clients. Notable names within the portfolio – Tata Chemicals, Tata Realty, Infiniti Retail, Indian Hotels and other Tata Group companies; Mahindra Group companies; AC Nielsen Group companies, ISS Integrated etc. She had also worked as MIS Manager involved in preparation of profit and loss and balance sheet as per HK GAAP, statutory profit and loss accounts, MIS pack for the Assets and Liabilities committee (ALCO), customer/product Group MIS and Annual Operating plan.
